Adding New Custom Properties

If there are ProjectWise properties that you want to insert into your document that are not in the default list of custom properties, you can add them as needed. There are actually two parts to this process, one part involves creating a new attribute in ProjectWise Administrator (Attribute Exchange Rules > Microsoft Office Attribute Support); the other part involves creating a custom property of the same name from inside your integrated Word or Excel application. The portion that involves creating the custom property in ProjectWise Administrator is described in the ProjectWise Administrator help.

Once the property exists in both ProjectWise Administrator and the integrated application, you can insert the custom property and update it as described in the sections above.
